Scape Carbon

Scape Carbon builds coastal seawater reactors that dissolve olivine to lock up industrial CO2 as stable mineral, and pull nickel and chromium out of the rock while doing it. The CO2 stays put for a hundred thousand years, and the metals come out carbon-negative into a market that needs them for turbines.

The usual route is injecting CO2 underground, which demands gas purified above 99%, plus pipelines, plus permanent monitoring against the chance it migrates back up. Purification and transport are most of the cost, and the gap between how much CO2 industry can capture and where it can actually put it keeps widening. Scape takes low-purity CO2 at the source, so the purification and the pipeline both disappear. Storing carbon and producing critical metals from the same reaction is an unusual piece of leverage: two hard problems answered by one mineral.
