LevelTen runs the marketplace for renewable power purchase agreements, connecting companies that want clean electricity with the wind, solar, and storage projects that need a buyer before they can be financed. A developer's hardest problem is finding someone to buy the power. A corporate buyer's problem is that projects are sold whole, in quantities too large for most companies, on twenty-year contracts requiring credit they may not have.

So the two sides need each other and can't transact. LevelTen assembles projects into portfolios and reapportions the power in sizes buyers can actually take, with the credit and risk mechanics built in. A PPA is what gets a wind farm built: the contract precedes the construction. Every deal that dies in negotiation is generation that never gets financed, and most of them died over structure rather than price.
