A Philanthropic Impact Fund
Decarbon8-US has invested $8.4M in combined philanthropic and personal co- investment

Each year the Fund focuses on high potential decarbonization startups in a different sector. Past years’ themes were:

2020: Decarbonization

2021: Transportation

2022: Agriculture

2023: Built Environment

2024: Renewable Energy

2024: Renewable Energy

Decarbon8-US channels personal and philanthropic donations to empower early-stage companies whose technologies and business models accelerate the transition to environmentally sustainable solutions. Through Decarbon8-US anyone can invest charitable donations in cleantech enterprises that are transforming our economy.

The multi-decade endeavor to decarbonize our planet needs investment as well as engaged, active and informed consumers and advocates.  In order to address the risks posed by climate change, economies will need to triple global renewable energy capacity by 2030 (COP28 agreement). Decarbon8-US works in lock step with policy, advocacy and research to move us towards this goal.

Your tax-deductible contribution to Decarbon8-US will directly invest in innovative climate tech companies, driving the change the world needs to achieve. Join us today in shaping a sustainable future for generations to come. Together, we can make a real difference.

Decarbon8-US is an impact fund that accepts philanthropic donations and grants and makes equity and debt investments in early-stage companies aligned with decarbonization priorities.
