Oregon BEST is a non-profit economic development entity focused on growing early stage cleantech companies throughout the state of Oregon. We provide early-stage investments up to $250K, entrepreneurial mentoring and assistance in seeking follow-on private and public investments. By creating collaborations with researchers and labs in the state universities (University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Portland State University and Oregon Tech), we help existing startup companies develop, de-risk and validate their products. In addition to supporting private sector startups, Oregon BEST provides catalytic assistance to university spinoff companies.

Oregon BEST invests in research and laboratory capacity in our partner universities and convenes collaborations between academics, entrepreneurs, government entities and corporations to expand the cleantech expertise and innovations in our entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Oregon BEST Companies, Oregon BEST Labs and cleantech research innovations are showcased annually at the Oregon BEST FEST event which welcomes investors seeking quality deal flow.
