Programs Coordinator, E8

​

Role Purpose

The Programs Coordinator will help drive E8’s core set of programs including our monthly member meetings, Decarbon8 programming, and our educational and community events.  This includes all aspects of programming including communications and administration. You will work closely with the Executive Director, our Board of Directors, as well as our members and committees to facilitate programming. The role reports to the Executive Director.

 

Responsibilities

Events and Communications

  • Plan and implement run of show at recurring pitch meetings, polling for member investment interests, and managing the technical aspects of the Zoom meeting.

  • Manage investor education events and resources; Manage deal and education sessions and archive video library.

  • Responsible for weekly newsletter highlighting deals and upcoming events; Assist with general marketing and communications (email meeting notices, event promotion, etc.)

  • Assist with maintenance of web site, social sites, organization artifacts, ensuring the organization’s operational details remain fresh and relevant.

 

Deal Flow Coordination

  • Guide and instruct diligence lead, member participants, and entrepreneurs through the E8/Decarbon8 startup evaluation process.

  • Oversee and support screening and due diligence teams and ensure smooth processes.

  • Support research and diligence review with deal teams and technical Fellows.

  • Maintain company data and communications via our deal platform.

  • Manage the tracking of respective company evaluation stages through to the creation and publishing of the diligence report and other artifacts onto our online investment platform, Dealum.

  • Track and foster relationships with collaborators for upstream and downstream deal flow.

 

Membership & Administration

  • Drive and track member engagement (e.g. attendance, participation and investment)

  • Support membership experience and database through onboarding, payment tracking, updating contact data, and question troubleshooting.

  • Maintain member contact info and data, including profiles and skills data

  • Manage the organization’s calendar including scheduling and organizing meetings for members, diligence, and committees.

  • Assist the Executive Director and E8 Executive Board in other aspects of running the organization, as needed.

 

Attributes & Qualifications

  • Well-organized with the ability to take initiative, work independently, execute efficiently, effectively collaborate, and to handle competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, thoughtfully, and pro-actively both written and orally; Demonstrated excellence in writing.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with members, entrepreneurs, sponsors, interns, and the public.

  • Capable of working with diverse styles. Demonstrated talent and ability to work with teams in a collaborative manner.

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a “virtual office” environment, with proficiency using Microsoft Office, Google, Zoom, web and marketing software; basic video management or editing desirable.

  • Experience working in clean tech, venture capital, or in an early-stage venture a plus, though not required.

  • An interest in customer service and stewardship; client or membership experience a plus.

Particulars

  • Salary Range is 65-80K. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

  • The position is based in Seattle. Candidates must be US citizens. 

  • Full-time, hybrid – much can be done remotely but there are often in-person planning & events. Must have availability to work standard PST hours, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm and occasional evenings for community events.
