Empower Micro Systems began to liquidate its assets in late 2017, ceasing operations in 2018. 

 

The IP for their disruptive series connected low-voltage solar MLPE (modular-level power electronics) platform is for sale.  Empower’s Gen II technology out performed its competitors in terms of kWh production on identical arrays, at the lowest bill of materials costs, with an estimated lifetime of 25 years. These advances should help move the industry forward.
