CleanFiber
(originally UltraCell Insulation)
CleanFiberTM (originally known as UltraCell Insulation) makes high performance building insulation from recycled corrugated cardboard which they bill as "the purest, best-performing cellulose insulation available".
It is for use in attics, walls and floors of residential or commercial new construction, as well as retrofit applications. For installers, CleanFiber is easy to blow, with low dust, great coverage and no clogging.
Cellulose building insulation is a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly thermal insulation for homes and commercial buildings.
CleanFiber's advanced cellulose insulation outperforms incumbent technologies by being more uniform, less dusty and contamination free. Their technology is mulitply-patented, with proven economics and product quality advantages.
Their advances in both production and fire retardation make a superior product.
CleanFiber's all-borate liquid fire retardant is infused uniformly across the fibers and directly into the fiber walls, resulting in a more effective insulator at the price of competitive blended products. Further, there's absolutely no chance that moisture will cause ammonia odors or corrosion issues.
CleanFiber will meet or exceed certification requirements as set forth by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in reference to ASTM C739 standards.
CleanFiber's NSF-backed research at the University of Maine arrived at a “wet” process that blends fiber from pulped recycled cardboard with fiber from other clean fiber feedstocks. Their proprietary wet separation and infusion process floats off contaminants.
The result is an extraordinarily clean and robust fiber, inherently better-suited for producing high-quality cellulose insulation than fiber from shredded newspaper and mixed paper recycling streams.
