Bright provides rooftop solar subscriptions for the developing world. It currently operates in cities throughout Mexico, where energy is expensive and rates complex.

Mexico is ideally suited for rooftop solar, but lack of awareness of the benefits and high upfront costs have slowed progress.  Bright's subscription model removes the upfront cost of the panels, gives consumers a fixed monthly cost, and lowers power bills by over 20% per household.  Investors recoup their funds from the power generated.

This should accelerate Mexico's transition to cleaner energy, while developing a model that can be easily replicated in other countries.
