Arcimoto's mission is to build products that catalyze the shift to a sustainable transportation system.

 

The Arcimoto name means “Future I Drive” and they aspire to "devise new technologies and patterns of mobility that together raise the bar for environmental efficiency, footprint and affordability"

 

Arcimoto plans delivery of its first electric vehicle in the summer of 2019 - the FUV, or Fun Utility Vehicle.  It's three-wheeled and all-electric with a top speed of 75-mph and has an estimated range of over 100 miles per charge. Testers describe it as "insanely fun to drive".

A decade of ever-advancing prototypes and user testing has resulted in an FUV that is stable and balanced – the driver does not need to countersteer like with a motorcycle. The vehicle is highly responsive and the controls are very simple and intuitive. Additionally, because of the extremely quiet ride and streamlined design, it’s easy for driver and passenger to carry on a conversation.

Prototypes exist for two more products,  the Deliverator, an all-electric customizable last-mile delivery solution designed to more quickly, safely, and affordably get goods where they need to go at a fraction of the economic and ecological costs of traditional ICE vehicles. 

The Rapid Responder offers the same benefits over an ICE vehicle, and is designed for specialized emergency, security and law enforcement services
